PARCO DELLE CAMELIE – LOCARNO
The Park of the Camellias in Locano was opened in 2005 on the occasion of the World Congress of the International Camellia Society (ICS) and has since become an important tourist attraction, especially for its precious botanical species. It covers an area of 10,000 square meters, and from the 500 camellias planted for its inauguration, the collection has grown to about 850 varieties. In 2010 the Park receved the prestigious "Gardens of Excellence" award from the International Camellia Society.
